I generally don’t wear compression stockings, except for when I travel by plane. Given how uncomfortable a long flight can be, support and comfort must go hand in hand so I was glad to have the opportunity to order the Medical Compression Pantyhose for Women, 15-20 Mmhg Graduated Compression Stockings, Medical Compression Leggings for Women Men, Support Hose for Edema, Varicose Veins, Swelling, DVT
Pros:
Graduated compression decreasing from ankle to thigh
Quality blend of 70% nylon/30%spandex
Comfortable – lightweight, breathable
Top bands keep stockings from slipping down without being over tight
Reinforced crotch for durability
Appropriate for many purposes: leg fatigue, varicose veins, circulation, pain relief, edema, recovery from surgery, etc
Well made
Open foot for comfort – socks can be worn, if preferred
Observations:
Overall I was impressed with the comfort, breathability, and support provided by these stockings.(15-20 MMHG is considered to be moderate compression.) Please keep in mind the sizes are not typical of what we see in the United States. I typically wear a women’s size 10, which is generally not considered XL. I accidentally ordered a large and it is a little snug around the waist. If I were to order it again, I would err on the side of caution and size up just for the comfort of the waistband when I’m sitting for hours on an airplane.
15-20 MMHG, this would be considered moderate compression. At the current price of $24.99 it seems to be an okay value. There are other Amazon listings that offer 2 pairs for about 1.5x the price, although it’s hard to know if the quality would be comparable.
