Comfortable - Size up for Light Compression

Comfortable – Size up for Light Compression
I am a medium in most things. I am just under 5' 4" and weigh about 145. Based on the listing recommendation I sized up and ordered a large. Ordering the proper size takes some care. The large fits me well but I think a medium would have been a better choice to provide more compression. Having said that, the large provides light compression and feels supportive without being restrictive, so I plan to to wear them under pants on a 9 hour flight this summer. I usually find leggings to be a bit too long. These cover my ankle without any extra fabric on the bottom. I can feel the fabric roll or bunch up slightly behind my knees when doing a squat. They are comfortable for walking, standing and sitting. They are a bit translucent at my hips and tummy area. Not see-through, but I can see a dark shadow from my panties. I am not sure anyone else would notice if I was wearing these in a exercise class. There is no tag to indicate front from back. The back side has slightly more room, once you see it, you can't miss seeing it. I washed these in the machine and hung to dry.

I’m 5’10” female 140lbs with a long torso and short legs for my height. I usually struggle to find leggings long enough but would like if these were about an inch shorter as they bunch up a little bit in the groin but otherwise good

Didn’t even try these on. Pictured as leggings but these are more like panty hose. They have the line halfway down the thigh making them useless to wear as legging.

I bought these to help with POTS. They’re snug to put on but they stay and don’t roll, have decent compression and I was surprised how airy they were, I wasn’t sweating!

They are indeed compression PANTYHOSE, and although they are comfortable, sections of them look very thin. I would have to wear shorts or pants over them when working out. I WAS LOOKING FOR COMPRESSION LEGGINGS.

Check size chart, especially waistline and size up if you are in between.

I generally don’t wear compression stockings, except for when I travel by plane. Given how uncomfortable a long flight can be, support and comfort must go hand in hand so I was glad to have the opportunity to order the Medical Compression Pantyhose for Women, 15-20 Mmhg Graduated Compression Stockings, Medical Compression Leggings for Women Men, Support Hose for Edema, Varicose Veins, Swelling, DVT

    Pros:

Graduated compression decreasing from ankle to thigh
    Quality blend of 70% nylon/30%spandex
    Comfortable – lightweight, breathable
Top bands keep stockings from slipping down without being over tight
    Reinforced crotch for durability
Appropriate for many purposes: leg fatigue, varicose veins, circulation, pain relief, edema, recovery from surgery, etc
    Well made
Open foot for comfort – socks can be worn, if preferred

    Observations:

Overall I was impressed with the comfort, breathability, and support provided by these stockings.(15-20 MMHG is considered to be moderate compression.) Please keep in mind the sizes are not typical of what we see in the United States. I typically wear a women’s size 10, which is generally not considered XL. I accidentally ordered a large and it is a little snug around the waist. If I were to order it again, I would err on the side of caution and size up just for the comfort of the waistband when I’m sitting for hours on an airplane.

15-20 MMHG, this would be considered moderate compression. At the current price of $24.99 it seems to be an okay value. There are other Amazon listings that offer 2 pairs for about 1.5x the price, although it’s hard to know if the quality would be comparable.

Check size chart, especially waistline and size up if you are in between.

I got these for leg fatigue from long days on my feet, and a week in they're doing the job. The compression feels firm without being restrictive, and the waistband stayed in place all day without rolling. Material is thick and opaque, breathable enough that I didn't overheat.

Sizing is the one thing worth thinking through before ordering. I was between sizes and went up, which fit comfortably but gave lighter compression. If I wanted a firmer feel I'd try ordering true to size next time around.
